I agree. Sort of. Yes, culture is a bigger vehicle of social good than technology. And yes, technology amplifies. But, in a feudal or capitalist context (esp. late-stage capitalism), where power is heavily slanted towards the elite, it also increases wealth disparity. Right from the agrarian revolution forwards. Under capitalism, givdn that the owners of the means of production benefit disproportionately, technology amplifies the power of the wealthy, giving them an increasingly large unfair advantage, which they have the resources to exploit to the maximum. = unsustainable.
